1977

Sweethaven was first established

Sweethaven was established by Family Rambridge, after taking over a local newsagent! The business starts life as a newsagent/sweet shop in Trehaven Parade – hence the name Sweethaven!

1987

Dedicated PC Sales Commenced

In recognition of technological advancements, Sweethaven starts to specialise in dedicated PC sales. Expansion to 3 retail units and a dedicated PC area ensues.

2000

Establishment of 1st Class Managed Service

Sweethaven brings on its first local business client! And from there see accelerated growth of managed support for both the local education and business market. We also all survived the Millennium bug!

2002

Service Perfection

Sweethaven sees further growth and thus hones focus on delivery of high-quality managed service, coupled with a spotlight on training, industry accreditation and talent development.

2008

Business Expansion

Sweethaven outgrows its premises yet again! New Reigate HQ premises acquired to enable larger scale expansion and refurbishment.

Two arms are fully established: Sweethaven Business Services for the B2B market and Sweethaven Education Services for the B2E market.

2012

Client Growth

Sweethaven Business Services and Sweethaven Education Services grows to cover more of the South East SME market and to incorporate bespoke project work for larger corporates.

2015

Focus on Talent

Sweethaven further increases focus on national apprenticeship schemes to contribute to the generation and development of local talent that will in turn support the South East’s schools and businesses.

These efforts lead to the subsequent recognition of Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year.

2016

National Award Wins

Our reputation and quality service leads to Sweethaven’s recognition at national level as PCR Independent Reseller of the Year and Toast of Surrey Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year. Individual recognition of Martin Byrne (Head of Technical Innovation) as Top 30 under 30 in the UK.

2017

Women of the Year Awards

In the year we turned 40, it was another great year for recognition for the Sweethaven family with Melissa Rambridge (Senior Leadership Team) winning PCR WOTY 2017 Rising Star Award, and the team also revamped the office.

2018

Embracing Individuality and Diversity

Melissa Rambridge (Senior Leadership Team) had her article discussing individuality and diversity in the tech industry, featured in PCR-Online, and was a speaker at the Network Group event.

MSP Specialist Winner

In 2019 Sweethaven was crowned the MSP Specialist of the Year at the PCR Awards, another fantastic achievement. Melissa Rambridge was also a presenter at the Network Group Roadshow, and at the same event, Sweethaven’s Paul Rambridge was awarded the Core Value Avatar Award!

Panelist at CompTIA EMEA

Along with Mark WIlliams, Pensar and Steven Tytgat from Tyneso, Melissa Rambidge, who also became CEO this year, was a panellist discussing The New Normal during the Covid-19 pandemic.

2021

Another win for the Sweethaven team

Supporting over 55 businesses and 16 schools across the South East, in 2021 Sweethaven became one of the 7 CRN Rising Stars, and Melissas is interviewed for their magazine.

2022

Further Exciting Growth

In 2022 we’ve launched two brand new websites, Sweethavenn B2B and Sweethaven Education. We’ve introduced a new Education Government Framework entry, and won our largest ever education and B2B contracts! We’ve also grown our team to 40 staff, launched a new staff training platform (Pluralsight) and, our teams have been smashing their Microsoft exams with 5 of our tech experts passing so far, with more about to complete theirs.

in 2022, we are also hoping that we’ll bring home another award as our CEO, Melissa Rambridge is currently shortlisted for three national awards! Melissa is a finalist in THREE categories in the CRN Women & Diversity in Channel Awards 2022:

• Outstanding Returner Award

• Woman of the Year Award

Making it to the finals is all due to the entire team’s success and dedication, and we’re very much looking forward to celebrating together. We're also delighted that by entering and attending we're helping to support the huge, combined effort to draw attention to the need for, and the benefits that can be achieved, with more diversity in the technology sector.

2023

Sweethaven join the inTEC GROUP

In Summer, we were delighted to announce that we joined the inTEC GROUP.

inTEC is a fast-growing group of ICT specialists operating across the UK, working with SMEs and educational organisations. Sweethaven has become their fourteenth acquisition since 2016 and inTEC have ambitious plans to further extend their geographical reach throughout the UK and Ireland this year.

inTEC specialise in the design, implementation, and support of a wide range of cloud services and business applications including I.T. managed services, infrastructure support, hosted collaboration and communication solutions.
