After 43 years, Sweethaven Computers becomes Sweethaven Managed IT Services for Business & Education.
Well-established pillar of the Reigate and Surrey business community, Sweethaven Computers are eagerly embracing their latest transition, moving away from retail to become a dedicated Managed IT Service Provider for Business & Education.
What started as a local newsagent in 1977 before evolving into an award-winning computer specialist and mainstay of the local business community, Sweethaven is in the throes of the next exciting development of their progressive journey. Currently undergoing redevelopment – anticipated to be ready at the end of November – their existing premises on Trehaven Parade will be transformed into fresh, modern offices to allow for their continued dedication to their growing business and education bases.
This dynamic move follows a decade of organic growth in providing IT support to a wealth of clients – including schools, businesses and, most recently, a close collaboration with the Department for Education to support the role out of digital platforms which enable remote teaching and learning nationwide.
Sweethaven currently offers a wealth of technical innovation and IT support services including:
• Security & Date Protection • Business Continuity • Managed IT Support • Managed Print Services • Virtual CTO • Cloud & Hosting Services.
Paul Rambridge, Founder, says: “I’m very proud of our company and the journey we have travelled serving the local community as well as business and education. Whilst incredibly sad to be leaving retailing after 43 years, this has not been the mainstay of our trade for a considerable time as Managed IT Services for Education and Business has continued to grow. This all started out as a family business and has continued to be so with Melissa Rambridge now leading the superb management team.”
This decision represents a significant shift for Sweethaven. Founded in 1977, Sweethaven began life as a newsagent, progressing to a chain of 3 with computer departments, before transitioning the business to dedicated IT retail in 2006, subsequently introducing business and education support. Over the last four decades, the company has become renowned as the one-stop-shop for the full range of technology solutions; from home tech to enterprise IT networks and educational support.
As a pillar to the local community of Reigate and the surrounding areas, Sweethaven reassures retail customers that they will not be left behind during this transition. All-new retail supplier, DLG Computers has now been opened in Salfords to cater for local IT retail requirements, headed up by Darren Reynolds, established retail manager formerly of Sweethaven, who is committed to continuing the excellent service that Sweethaven is renowned for.
Melissa Rambridge, newly appointed CEO, says: “I am so excited to be a part of Sweethaven’s future, especially with such a fantastic team at the helm. The move to focus on fully managed services represents an exciting new chapter and will enable us to further dedicate ourselves to delivering the high standard of customer service to business and education. The true passion and care that runs at the heart of a family-run business is what I believe truly makes us special as a team.”
Sweethaven supports an expansive network of 70+ businesses, schools and charities nationally, and through this transition, seek the opportunity to dedicate their services to even more.

The Sweethaven Team is delighted to be sharing their exciting announcement with you all and wishes to say a warm thank you to all of the growing support over the 43.5 years they have been in retail. They hope to continue providing your B2B and Education Services in the many years to come.
